Woman Protects 5-year-old Daughter From Cousin’s Dog After Several Scares, Forbids His Canine From Coming Over Again, So He Refuses to Come Altogether: ‘This dog is part of the family’
Welcome back ladies and gentlemen of the internet. Family matters can get hairy; we always want to be on good terms with relatives, and have that tight-knit feeling of security with them. It doesn't always go according to plan though, and boundaries can get crossed too easily.
When it comes to protecting children, every decent mother and father will want to put their child's safety on a pedestal. Knowing how helpless they are is the first step to proper guidance.
This brings us to the Reddit thread. In this story, the original poster (OP) is a woman merely trying to protect her daughter. Her cousin has a dog who has made several attempts at accosting her 5-year-old. I think most people in the world have had some sort of scare with animals when they were young, and these situations can affect someone for the rest of their lives. I, for one, love dogs, but also understand that they're wild animals. Though we've tamed them, it doesn't mean that they can be trusted with the lives of children.
